I don't know, meaby there will be another HP movie coming. And I don't know if that's as great as others. I mean, there wouldn't be Fred, Remus, Tonks, Severus, Sirius, Albus, Dobby, Mad'Eye and others... Voldemort has beaten, peace has come... Will there be a new villain, which must be fought? Do Harry and his friends have to fight, for one last time? And what about next generation? Would they fight by their parents side? Who knows? And what about J.K. Rowling? Will she write a new book?
The movies weren't really the best, imo! So, yeah, I think that it is possible to write a better screenplay...the story that the books told, however, will definitely be hard to beat in the literature world.
for movies, I pretty much hope so! The HP moies were good, but some of them could have been LOTS better! If you'd asked the same question on the books, I doubt there'll ever be other books like that, there are no books besides HP that I can read or listen to more than 4 times a year.
i absolutely love Harry Potter, and i don't think there will ever be a whole series quite in its league. at least not in the fiction-fantasy genre. but i am looking forward to the Hunger Games, and i hope they make the movie(s) worthy of the books. c=
That actually made me cry XD No, I don't believe - for me at least - there will ever be anything as great as harry potter. It's been with me for the majority of my life and I can't believe it's over. I will of course watch the movies, and read the books again. But .. I just can't imagine anything managing to be nearly as extraordinary or loved as this series.
LOL no. While I found the books frustratingly boring and illogical, I do think they could make good movies out of them. But I find it hard to believe anything that comes out of that series will be as good as the Harry Potter phenomenon.
I don't think that there will ever be anything that will fill the same spot as Harry Potter because it is what I grew up with. There may be something that I may end up liking more for plot and characters but I don't think that anything will ever be able to be totally better because of the movies and the books and all the memories. I don't know what to click...
At the end, when I saw the clips of the three of them and the noticeable age difference, I was like 'HA. Puberty XD'
I feel kinda happy that one of the greatest series of books of all time was in my generation. HOW AWESOME it feels to be a part of it too.
My kids are gonna be reading these books for their English class and they'll be raving about how boring it is.
Then I'll go: 'Well, back in my day we had to read Catcher in the Rye. 300 pages about a whiny teenager and then supposedly having an affair with his English Teacher. It's badder than it sounds kids.'
And on the inside I'll be going: 'I wish My kids would believe me when I told them that Shakespeare and Harry Potter were amazing...But they didn't listen. It's like telling girly girls that boys like tomboys back in my time when being girly was still legal. Then I had it outlawed. I love being Emperor of the Universe.'
That's what I'll say...What were we talking about? I sort of faded out of that and imagined how brilliant the universe will be once I become Emperor of it.
There will sure always be something great and new coming out, but I think we cannot compare it... Harry Potter is an amazing (and ever more) story and adventure... but every wizard story will always be marked by JkRowlings' touch of Harry Potter...
I feel like that require a more complex answer... Like, there will, without a doubt, be books of better literary quality - or better films - in the world. I feel like a lot of value is placed in Harry Potter due to the nostalgia it brings about, seeing as many of us grew up with the books, awaiting their release every few years and reading them eagerly once we had them. I think the real question is whether or not another book will manage to have that much emotional value to such a large amount of people. Not that I'm saying Harry Potter isn't a good book - it most definitely is. I am as real of an HP fan as anyone else and I love both the books and the movies dearly, I just think that its intense popularity is mostly emotionally based.
I feel like there will be better things in the future, but Harry Potter will always be in people's hearts, especially if it was part of their childhood or teenage years. Take the Star Wars fan base for example, people still love those movies like hell even though it's from the 70s and tons of good movies have been produced since, but those people will always love Star Wars.
I think Harry Potter fans will be the same. Hunger Games or Twilight or some other movies might take some HP fans away. But if you're a true Harry Potter fan, you'll always love Harry Potter. I know I'll always say Harry Potter was one of the best movie series/book series around.
No. HP is truly magical. J.K's imagination is unparallelled. But the movies aren't nearly as good as the books. I will always adore the books. Always. Some of the movies are okay... But they never came close to the books.
To be honest, I don't think HP was the best thing there even was... plz, don't hit me!! *Ducks away*
In mine opinion, there are a lot of movies who are better. It is true, that HP makes childs-dreams come true, but to be honest, I really didn't like all movies, and the more there came, the worse the storie. I have to admit, I loved the last movie, and I did saw it in the cinema, but now I'm watching the Lord of the Rings again, and it is soooooooo much better, in storie and in beautiful frames! (And off course in keeping main characters alive...)
So, it is not the best, and it sure is good, but come on... Everybody knows it sure isn't the best storie, and most of what happens are myths just combined. JK Rowling was just very good in using others their work, without being caught.
So, plz, be realistic, it is good, but not the best..
Oh, yeah, and this, the Lord of the Rings is better!! xD
