4. General questions

Q: When did you develop your unique rendering style? Did you always paint like that, did it come slowly, or did you change your style from something else?
A: I think I had taken a grasp of it back in early 2008. I think it came rather slowly than not; it took a year or so before I slowly find what and how I really like to paint, something I really enjoy and could possibly explore more with giving more of my own. Other than that I didn’t really had a specific style at all.

Q: Have you gone to art school, or did you develope all on your own? Do you have any tips for a beginning artist?
A: I haven’t gone to any art school, I’m fully self-tought. As for tips, I think a young artist with burning urge to create should enjoy the process itself to begin with, just draw whatever you like, whatever excites you. And with that you can slowly come to understand which parts of it all you would like to take on the next level… if that’s the right wording for it.

Q: ...

Hello
I just adore your at and painting style and so much so  recently just bought  print  of one of your adorable little kitty  pictures and got me wondering if you are open for commission's for  $100 pet portraits?
I have a cat that i love with all my heart and is my best friend. He always makes me smile when he meows to great me in the morning so i was thinking it would be wonderful to get a picture of him so when he passes or if i ever need a time to smile i can look up and his cute face c:

He is a black and white cat, i have a drawn reference of him and  few actual pictures can proved you if you are open and willing to draw my baby.
I was thinking of  cloudy sunset or a fall leafy theme.
If you are interested please let me know, it would be paid right away if i can get a slot.

If you don't mind me asking, I was wondering how you can blend to get a really awesome soft look on Adobe Photoshop. I saw that on paint tool sai there was the water brush is there anything similar on photoshop? I think that is where I am struggling the most and spend hours on my work trying to get it right and yet anything I try i'm getting more of a blurry look than a soft look.

If you have any tips on how to use Adobe Photoshop to create a semi-realistic look that would be great. But I understand if you don't want to a lot of artists don't like sharing their secrets ;)

I love you lots!

Hey, I really love your art a lot. I love cats and your style is very unique and beautiful!
I just have a short question. You write you don't allow reposting your work. Does that count for RP forums too? Because I sometimes stumble over your work in those forums.

you've been a huge inspiration to me throughout time and now is one of the few times I remember your da handle exactly

is it safe to ask how you blend fur when you draw cats or any other animal?

hello,

the fur painting process is quite strighforward; I start with soft brush to lay down a base and gradually finish with a harder and smaller brush. few fixes during the process and that's it~

Your art has always been such an inspiration to me. I love the way you draw your animals! I have a question though: What brushes do you use mainly for the bodies of the animals to get the cool soft effect?

as for "cool soft" I work with both soft and water brush, that should do the trick I think~

When you say that you uses both hard and soft brush, do you use only the brush tool or the mixer brush and smudge tool.

you draw what you like, a lot, and sooner or later you may find there is a unifying touch to it. the more interesting approuch you have the more it will feel as your own I think. hope that gave you an idea!
